"A 129-year era is set to end at AT&T," according to this CNN article - AT&T is exiting the payphone business. It's just a matter of time before they'll vanish into history. The culprit: cellphones & wireless, of course.
The list of obsolete technologies I've used is getting long: payphones, VCRs, rotary-dial phones, manual typewriters, carbureted engines, black & white TVs, pre-PC computers such as the TRS-80, etc... Does this mean I'm getting old?
